What Happened to MatchBridge New Member Screenings?
MatchBridge is not taking any new members at this time, however, we can still connect your youth to great employers and job opportunities through SF Summer Jobs+!
The SF Summer Jobs+ program is open to anyone between the ages of 16 and 24, so anyone you would have referred to MatchBridge will be eligible for SF Summer Jobs+.
Get Involved in SF Summer Jobs+!
SF Summer Jobs+ is a city-wide summer program to help young adults find summer employment. The goal in 2013 is to provide 6,000 jobs and work opportunities! This initiative is a partnership between the City of San Francisco, United Way of the Bay Area, the Department of Children, Youth & Their Families, the Office of Economic and Workforce Development, the San Francisco Unified School District, youth-serving nonprofits and the San Francisco business community.
All that participants in your program have to do to join SF Summer Jobs+ and get access to current job openings is register online — see instructions below.
How Youth can Join SF Summer Jobs+
Click on “Register Now or Login” (link in the menu on the left)
Fill out the two page registration — make sure your program participants attach their resume and indicate that they are working with your program!
Once youth have registered, they can express interest in jobs. All open positions can be found under the “Job Openings” link in the menu on the left-hand side of the page. Clicking on a job title shows the details of the job, and clicking on the “express interest” button lets MatchBridge know the participant would like to be referred for that job.
Once youth submit interest in a job opening, MatchBridge reviews their resumes and informs them if we are referring them to the employer or not. MatchBridge will also continue hosting interview events with employers during the summer through SF Summer Jobs+, so youth can register for those opportunities as well (all job leads and events will be listed through SF Summer Jobs+ at www.sfsummerjobs.org/find-jobs).
