‘Tis The Season | Seasonal Job Hunting With MatchBridge
On September 13, 2008, MatchBridge members met with volunteers at the Mission CareerLink center for the MatchBridge Job-Readiness Clinic in preparation for MatchBridge’s upcoming job fair. The event began with twenty San Francisco professionals volunteering and working intensively with twenty MatchBridge members.
Resumes were revised, cover letters were written, interviewing coaching and feedback were given to members of MatchBridge. After lunch was served, made possible by a generous donation from Macy’s, members attended a Macy’s Customer Service Workshop, facilitated by Macy’s Human Resources Recruiters. Members learned first-hand the skills and mind-set required to deliver the high-quality Macy’s brand of customer service.
On October 4, 2008, thirty-seven members made their way to the downtown MatchBridge/UWBA office for the ‘Tis the Season! Seasonal Job Fair and interviewed with Macy’s, Old Navy, Radio Shack, and Ross. Many members had attended the Macy’s Customer Service Workshop, and were prepared to impress—which they did. Congratulations to these members for their outstanding performance and a warm “Thank You” to all the volunteers and partners who made these events possible !
